An Estate Site Visit is an essential first step following the loss of a loved one. These inspections provide a clear, detailed overview of the home’s condition—both interior and exterior to assist family members, estate representatives, and attorneys in making informed decisions about next steps.

Site visits include:

Securing 

We assist with changing locks and ensuring doors and windows are properly secured to help prevent squatting, vandalism, or unauthorized access. 

Documenting 

We capture detailed photographs to accurately document the condition of the home and surrounding property. 

Inspecting  

We conduct a thorough review of the property, including: 

  • Utility status (water, electricity, gas) 

  • Structural concerns, plumbing leaks, or visible damage 

  • Safety hazards or environmental concerns 

  • Presence of pets 

  • Identification of important documents such as wills, powers of attorney, medical records, financial documents (bank statements, credit cards, tax returns) 

  • Identification of valuables including cash, jewelry, or collectibles 

  • Vehicles on-site and availability of keys 

Reporting 

Following the inspection, we provide a detailed, comprehensive report complete with photos and findings. The report includes recommendations for immediate actions, property condition, and guidance on whether items should be retained, sold, donated, or disposed of responsibly.
